CONSCIOUS COUTURE

Digital sets and matching mask outfits made from waste

For this lockdown project Freyja enjoyed remixing opensource Biophilic 3D assets into virtual sets for her Conscious Couture collection. Every outfit is made entirely from waste fabric, collected from charity shops, the street and deadstock sources, and features a matching mask. All accessories are sourced second hand.

“Face masks can be uncomfortable. They can be sweaty and hot, they block the laugh, cover the kiss and stifle the smile. But… face masks save lives. Every person you see wearing a mask is making a micro sacrifice, giving up their comfort to positively contribute, in their own small way, to our current reality.
Images of nature give us joy and wonder, which I why I decided to weave them in. My vision of the future is beautifully biophilic baby!“

“The underlying attraction of the movement of water and sand is biological. If we look more deeply we can see it as the basis of an abstract idea linking ourselves with the limitless mechanics of the universe”
