DANU

Danu is the host of the Bioverse, a character transparently performing previously separate roles, for example moderating real time content, delivering user instructions, and receiving complaints.

Freyja believes Avatar design during the emergence of Web3 requires an identity or ‘soul’ that can cross multiple platforms with ease. We are on the cusp, not only of the Metaverse, but of powerfully programmed interactive AI beings.

Danu will not be a solely AI or NPC character. Danu will often be ‘inhabited’ by a human player, one that is trained to perform the human role of this character, for example as a Story Collector, one who engages with users in conversations to create actionable data. Danu is the result of Freyja’s Functional Science Fiction Design method (or Fun-Scifi Design). The co-habitation of Danu’s avatar/body between human and AI make Danu a truly Mixed Reality Personality. Danu is unfurling as we speak across multiple dimensions. Danu started their journey in Freyja’s childhood and through Triptych.

Danu and the Bioverse do not expect AI alone to do the work of moderation and user guiding. The powerful, and different, strengths of human judgement and AI will both be applied, where appropriate. By blending quantitative analytics with qualitative methodologies the Bioverse will leverage stories and narratives as the bridge between humans and data. Recruiting and training moderators (Danus) is an inbuilt function of the Bioverse, for example once a network grows in a new place people will be recruited from that place to become a Danu/moderator, meaning they will understand the language and customs of the place they are caring for.
